malayalienter - “Meera Jasmine has put in lot of efforts to understand every single word of her dialogues in the film. The movie is sure to bring out her best as the role is very powerful,” says M S Sathyu, director of the Kannada film ‘Ijjodu’.

Even as the film getting ready to hit the screens on April 30, the National Award winning director is all praise for Meera Jasmine, who is another National Award winner. “She has given her best to Ijjodu,” he says.

The actress will be portraying the role of a Devadasi in this film, which will have actor Anirudh in the lead role. “Though Meera Jasmine has already worked in three Kannada films, ‘Ijjodu’ is totally a new experience to her,” says Sathyu.

“This is a challenging role for any artiste,” he says and adds: “However, Meera has performed the role with élan and ease. This was due to her commitment to the profession and her penchant to try new things.”
