 Lydia Hearst To Play Lindsay Lohan Character In Upcoming Movie

I have a feeling Dina Lohan will have something to say about this! Lydia Hearst has been cast to play a character based on Lindsay Lohan in an upcoming movie called ‘Dogs in Pocketbooks’!
Charles Casillo, who wrote the movie, told the New York Post that;

“Lydia Hearst will play a bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media — a role obviously based on Lindsay Lohan,”

“I spent a lot of time casting for the right actress for this screwball comedy, but Lydia Hearst is perfect.”

“[The movie] is in no way mean-spirited towards Lindsay. It’s the kind of thing she has spoofed about herself in the past. It’s more of a satire about the crazy people around her and the situations they generate. It satirizes the obsession with modern celebrity.”

Well, I have a feeling that Lindsay won’t really take it as a form of flattery and that we’ll be hearing from Dina about a lawsuit pretty soon, mostlybecause she’ll think that someone more high profile should be playing Lindsay!!

This is the first big film role for Hearst who is a successful model and probably most well known as the daughter of Patricia Hearst. She’s also dating Jeff Goldblum who is a whole lot older than her.

 Madonna Played Santa To Malawi Orphans

Madonna might be a pretty strict mom at home, but this Christmas she showed she definitely has a soft side! Madonna sent toys, clothes and sweets to Malawi this Christmas season to be distributed to six orphanages. Malawi is the birth country of Madonna’s adopted daughter, Mercy. UsMagazine also reports that the singer included a handwritten note in with one of the boxes that read;

“To my Malawi children on Christmas and Boxing Day. I wish I was with you. See you soon, M.”

How nice! In addition to the new clothes that Madonna sent over she also sent items that her 4 children, Lourdes, Rocco, David and Mercy have outgrown. There were other notes included that were signed by Madonna, Lourdes and Rocco that read;

“Mercy, David, Rocco, Lourdes and I send you a blessed Christmas to all of you!”

I love that Madonna is honoring the birthplace of her daughter and giving back! In addition to the items that she sent, she also threw a party for over 3500 people! It’s nice that she was able to make that many children have a Merry Christmas!

Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank, who also happens to be a former gymnast, is launching her own line of sporty clothing.

What started out as just a T-shirt line quickly evolved into an entire collection with DMA, Designers Management Agency. The company’s co-founder explains the style of her collection:

“Our platform is a contemporary, outdoor, athleisure brand,”

Athleisure. That sounds like something I could be comfy in just hanging out around the house all day!
I wonder what the price points will be on this line? Part of me guesses that since Hilary Swank is a thrifty shopper, she’ll want to keep the costs down as much as she can, but you never know!

We all know that the fashion star is shooting her own reality show, but today it’s being reported the series will follow Olivia’s road to success in the industry. Similar to Lauren Conrad’s deal, isn’t it?

Elton John has finally become a father. The musician and his husband David Furnish welcomed son Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John into the world on Christmas Day. The proud parents released a statement to Us Weekly magazine:

“We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment. “Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents.”

How sweet! Zachary weighed 7 lbs 15oz, was 22 inches long and was born in California. The 63 year old singer would not release any more information about the mother or the birth.

Last year, Elton John attempted to adopt a Ukrainian boy, but was denied because of his age. Looks like he found another way to become a father.

And you have to wonder if  Elton John turned down ‘American Idol’ because he knew he couldn’t commit. His surrogate was pregnant earlier this year. He must have known the scheduling would keep him away from his son.

This morning I woke up to several emails asking me if Aretha Franklin died. I am happy to report that Aretha Franklin is not DEAD! Apparently, a few people planted the news on Twitter late last night and it went viral.

Aretha’s rep even had to step in and give an official statement letting the public know that she isn’t dead.

“Aretha is fine.”

It’s short and sweet and to the point. There’s really no need to elaborate, right?! Besides, Aretha Franklin was doing fine post-surgery. Her battle with pancreatic cancer rages on.

This isn’t the first celebrity death hoax we’ve had to deal with this month. Charlie Sheen “died” for a few hours according to the Internet a few days ago too! Denise Richards is the one that put that rumor to rest.
