When you’re a celebrity, especially a wealthy one, it seems that the best strategy for marriage is “hope for the best, prepare for the worst.” People close to Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson say the couple will sign a prenuptial agreement before they marry (earlier reports said they would not).

A source said: “There will definitely be a prenup. Jessica has said she wants one. Jessica and Eric have talked about it. Eric understands that there needs to be a prenup. He’s supportive of it.”

You can’t blame Jessica, given that she’s been divorced once and considering what she’s earning these days!

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson recently brought all of their loved ones together for dinner. Over Thanksgiving weekend, the parents of Jessica and Eric met up at Coppola’s Italian restaurant in New York City and gushed over the newly engaged couple and the infamous engagement ring. PopEater reports:

She and Eric were very loving — hugging, kissing and whispering in each other’s ears,” a witness said. “She also showed off her engagement ring. She even took it off at one point and handed it to Eric’s parents to look at,” the insider added.

Love it! Jessica Simpson’s mother was asked about wanting more grandchildren. Naturally, Tina was all for it.

“Obviously I’m looking forward to having more grandkids! Bronx is the love of my life.

What is she hoping for – a girl or a boy?

I’ll take anything I get. I’m not picky!”

Well,  Jessica Simpson denied she was pregnant, but the press still likes to push things along. If it was up to them, Jessica and Eric would be getting married in a few days and expecting their first child!

Rumors quickly circulated that she was “flipping out” when ex husband Nick Lachey proposed to fiancée Vanessa Minnillo last week, but Jessica Simpson recently cleared the air on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.

On Thursday morning (November 11), the “Come On Over” singer explained, "I am extremely, extremely happy for him."


She added, "I don't know where all those rumors came from. My mom actually called me and said that everyone was saying that I was 'saddened.' I was just in complete shock. I couldn't be more happy for Nick.”

"Our relationship was over a really long time ago, and it would be nice if everyone could move on with us and really just celebrate the love between him and Vanessa [Minnillo]," she went on. "I do, and I really wish them nothing but the best."

But, with a little help, Jess is able to be positive. "It takes a great family and wonderful friends – and love definitely helps, too – to get through it," she says.

Rumor has it that Jessica Simpson and her hairdresser/best friend, Ken Paves, are on the outs. Once totally inseparable, today, they’re on the outs, at least for now.

 

Ken Paves was not only Simpsons best friend but he was also her hairdresser. He made sure that her hair always looked great. Not sure on who will step in and fulfill that role.

Well, according to someone close to the situation, the split is a result of a pretty serious fight between the two. No one quite knows (or at least they aren’t telling) what the fight was about. However, the “insider” has revealed that the cause of the fight was something minor.

Simpson is supposedly crushed over the “break up” and wants to talk to Ken. He’s, however, not budging. He even opted out of her 30th birthday part after she graciously invited him.

Paves seems to not have only gotten over the blow-out and Jessica as well. He even recently took to Twitter to announce that Eva Longoria is now his best friend. Wow, that sounds petty. The two seem to be fighting like 12-year old girls. Hopefully, they will get it together, kiss and makeup. Life is too short and friends are too precious.

For his part, Paves denies that there is a riff. He has gone on record to say that he is still close to Jessica and her family. He claims that both him and Jessica have been so busy that they haven’t been able to see each other. Hmm, sounds a bit suspicious. They were always able to make time before. Her weight gain was definitely blown out of proportion last year, and although Jessica Simpson herself is comfortable with her body, there is one part she’d like to change.

The “Come On Over” songstress told Closer Magazine, "I have a white girl booty. I don't have a big butt. I'd rather have a happy medium and take some off my chest and put it towards my butt so I could balance out a bit."

And not letting the harsh criticism about her weight gain get to her, Jess added, "I'm more confident than I've ever been in my life. I'm much more at peace with myself and whatever life brings my way."

If any one celeb has received some serious flack in the media over body and weight issues, it's Jessica Simpson. This poor girl has been through the wringer! But Jess says that she's, "coming to terms" with "some serious body issues."

"We all obsess over looking like the perfect Barbie type, and that's not always what's beautiful. It's about making peace with yourself."

However, Jessica is saying these things in spite of having went on a serious detox diet for her boyfriend, Eric Johnson, and in spite of her newest Lucky Magazine cover getting attacked by retouching claims?

I say, OF COURSE they photoshopped the cover. It's a magazine cover. Nobody is immune, not even the thinnest, most beautiful celebrities. Like it or not, that's just the way Hollywood is.

The singer-actress's career is definitely on a downward trajectory - there was a time when she produced multi-platinum pop albums, now we get The Price of Beauty.

But at the very least, it's unlikely she'll get dumped on her birthday two straight years. Unless Eric Johnson takes his cues from Tony Romo. You better not, Eric!

Having officially cursed the Dallas Cowboys via her two-year relationship with quarterback Tony Romo, Jessica Simpson is moving on to the San Francisco 49ers.

A source close to the singer confirms that she's dating former NFL tight end Eric Johnson, telling People the pair have been together for about a month and: "She is happy that she found a great guy. She's really happy."

Johnson last played professional football in 2007 and retired with nine career touchdown receptions. He's a graduate of Yale University, causing many to wonder what the heck he talks about with Simpson.
