Paula Abdul Desperate To Get Her Job Back on American Idol

Dimewars :    Paula Abdul, is desperately needed back at her old job, and fans who, after seven years, have gotten used to her easy-going style of critique want to see her back on the show.

News of Paula Abdul fans requesting her return to the show reached the ears of the former pop singer/dancer and she almost blushed:

“I’m very grateful,” she said. “I have tremendous gratitude that people want to see me on television and that people miss me on Idol. That leaves me speechless. It really does. I’ll always be a fan of the show. I had an amazing time.

To be part of something from the very beginning that grew into such a worldwide phenomenon is really awe-inspiring. It’s going to go down in history. It’s always wonderful to be part of something that’s larger than you could have ever imagined. People grow with time and you can always expect change. I’m forever a fan of the show and I’ll always watch.”

Ouch! That sounds like an ex-girlfriend who wants to be nice about saying... it'll never happen again, buddy!

George Clooney Nervous About Sex Scenes In New Movie

Aceshowbiz :    George Clooney felt nervous filming sex scenes for his new movie "The American" because he isn't "that experienced" when it comes to stripping off onscreen, according to his co-star Violante Placido.

The actress plays Clooney's love interest in the film, which tells the story of an assassin who takes a break from hitman duties to spend time in a quiet Italian village.

The pair plays lovers in the picture, and Placido admits her co-star felt apprehensive about shooting the saucy bedroom scenes.

She tells People.com, "He confessed... that he didn't do lots of sex scenes. I felt like this was in a way something new to him, he wasn't that experienced.

We had to find a way to make it natural and let your body speak somehow. We were very open to one another to try and make it work. We just said 'Let's trust each other' and we did. I felt like we had to let ourselves go. It had to look real."

Taio Cruz Tops U.K. Singles Chart


Aceshowbiz :    R&B sensation Taio Cruz has stormed to the top of the U.K. singles chart with his new track "Dynamite".

The "Break Your Heart" hitmaker knocked "Green Light" by Roll Deep to fourth place, while Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie", featuring Rihanna, remained at two.

"Club Can't Handle Me", Flo Rida's collaboration with French DJ David Guetta, stayed at three as Katy B's "Katy on a Mission" debuted at five.

In the British album charts, Eminem climbed one place to reclaim the top spot with "Recover", while Plan B's "The Defamation of Strickland Banks" was at two. Former number one "The Final Frontier", from Iron Maiden, dropped to three.

Glenn Close has taken home the Emmy award for the past two years playing scheming and muderous lawyer Patty Hewes on Damages and now we know why — she says she’s just like her! Glenn joked when asked about playing such a morally ambiguous character, “This is the act, I really am evil.” Uh-oh!

Even if Glenn does not take home the award this year, she can feel good that her almost canceled show was picked up again at the lasts econd. Now she has even more time to hone her eveil skills!
